The First Gatehouse is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(BotW | TotK)[1][2] The First Gatehouse goes unnamed in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The First Gatehouse is a small tower along the pathway to the Sanctuary in Hyrule Castle. When Link enters the First Gatehouse, a Blue-Maned Lynel will drop from the ceiling and portcullises will cover both of its entrances to trap him inside. However, the upper floors of the First Gatehouse contain several archways that Link may exit from.

Defeating the Blue-Maned Lynel will cause the portcullises to raise. A metal Treasure Chest will then appear, containing 10 Bomb Arrows. A stone Treasure Chest can be found on the upper level of the First Gatehouse, and it holds five Bomb Arrows.

One Korok Seed Puzzle can be found at the First Gatehouse. If Link climbs all the way up the spire on top of the First Gatehouse, he will find Leaves with Fairy Dust. When he interacts with them, a Korok will appear and give him a Korok Seed.[3]
