The Hyrule Castle Town Ruins are a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Hyrule Castle Town Ruins are located due south of Hyrule Castle in Hyrule Field. Before the second Great Calamity, Hyrule Castle Town was Hyrule Kingdom's largest city, serving as a shopping hub and travel destination.[2] The Central Square is located within the center of these Ruins. Like many of the surrounding areas, the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins are filled with destroyed buildings and desolate terrain that is covered in Malice. There is little vegetation to be found except for Grass. A Cooking Pot can be found in one of the Ruined Houses to the northwest.

A stone Treasure Chest containing a Purple Rupee can be found in the Ruined House to the southeast. A second stone Treasure Chest containing a Luminous Stone can be found in the Ruined House to the south. A third stone Treasure Chest containing a Purple Rupee can be found inside the tower that is surrounded by Malice in the road in the southwest. A fourth stone Chest containing a Sapphire can be found in a Ruined House in the west. A fifth stone Treasure Chest containing a Purple Rupee can be found in a Ruined House north of the previous Chest.
