Template:Future game Template:Game Zelda 3DS is an upcoming Zelda game for the Nintendo 3DS. Confirmed by Eiji Aonuma on November 5, 2011, this new installment will take elements from previous console Zelda games, such as Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker. Aonuma also stated that it will not be a direct sequel to any of the other titles released on the Nintendo DS.[1]

It is also confirmed that if fans expressed a sufficient amount of interest, Nintendo would consider a Majora's Mask[2] remake for the 3DS. However, if the game comes to fruitition, it will have to wait until after Zelda 3DS is developed, as Nintendo doesn't want to create two remakes in the same series back-to-back.
