Lake Totori South is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Lake Totori South is located between Lake Totori and Cuho Mountain on the Tabantha Frontier. It is a wooded area filled with Cedar Trees and a shallow pool of Water, and an unnamed road passes along its northern end. Another feature of Lake Totori South is a set of ancient ruins, which are believed to be Zonai Ruins.[3][note 1]

A Black Hinox sleeps at the center of Lake Totori South.[1] It will initially be asleep, but if Link disturbs its rest, it will wake up and begin to attack him. In addition to this, a Monster Stronghold built around a large Tree can be found on the eastern side of Lake Totori South. The Stronghold features a Cooking Pot with a Campfire underneath it. A Treasure Chest containing five Shock Arrows is situated at the top of the camp.

As part of "The Ancient Rito Song" Shrine Quest, Link will find a Pedestal on Lake Totori South. As the sun passes behind the pillar upon which Rito Village is built, a beam of light in the shape of a Heart will be projected onto the Pedestal. If Link holds a lit Torch or ignites a Campfire on the Pedestal during this time, Bareeda Naag Shrine will rise from the ground nearby.[4]

Notes

  1. Despite being classified as Zonai Ruins by Creating a Champion, the ruins on Lake Totori South bear more of a resemblance to Ancient Hylian Ruins.
