Wisdom Gem
Wisdom Gems,[1] also known as Good Things,[2] are Items in Phantom Hourglass.
Location and Uses
Wisdom Gems are one of three types of Spirit Gems found throughout the World of the Ocean King, along with Power Gems and Courage Gems. They are colored blue and bear the Crest of Nayru, corresponding to the Goddess of Wisdom. A total of 20 Wisdom Gems can be found; many come from hidden Treasure Chests, while others are obtained by means such as purchasing them at Shops, winning them from Mini-Games, or receiving them as rewards from other characters.
On their own, Wisdom Gems have no effect.[3] By collecting 10 Wisdom Gems and taking them to the Shrine at Spirit Island, the servant to the goddess of Spirits uses them to restore the true powers to Neri, one of Link's companion Fairies and the Spirit of Wisdom.[4] Then, once the Spirit of Wisdom is selected from the Inventory and "equipped",[5] Link's Life Gauge will be outlined in blue, and any damage he receives from Enemies or traps will be reduced by half.[6] Obtaining all 20 Wisdom Gems allows Neri to be further upgraded, reducing damage taken to one quarter.[7]
With the Spirit of Wisdom equipped, Link will be able to stun weaker Enemies by walking into them, and the amount of time lost from the Phantom Hourglass when Link is struck by a Phantom is reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. If the Spirit of Wisdom is fully powered-up, this amount is further reduced to just five seconds.
