"Mineru's Counsel" is a Memory in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Overview

The "Mineru's Counsel" Memory can be viewed by locating the Dragon's Tear hidden within the Geoglyph on Trilby Valley. Link must obtain this Memory as part of "The Dragon's Tears" Main Quest.[2]

The Memory begins with Mineru examining the Purah Pad, which she is able to determine is not from their era.[3] However, she believes she should be able to reinstate its Warping abilities, and she asks for Zelda permission to borrow it.[4] Zelda agrees, expressing her gratitude for Mineru's help.[5] Mineru decides to keep the Purah Pad, handing it off to a Steward Construct.[6]

Zelda asks Mineru if she believes her story, to which Mineru claims she never doubted her.[7] Rauru then asks if Mineru knows how they can help Zelda return to her future.[8] Mineru explains to Zelda that Secret Stones amplify the powers of their users, and it is likely what allowed her to travel through Time.[9] She uses her Secret Stone of Spirit as an example, revealing that it allows her to separate her Spirit from her body.[10] She also claims that Rauru's Light power allows him to destroy evil and Sonia is able to control Time.[11] Despite Mineru being able to sense powers of both Light and Time from Zelda, her Secret Stone only amplifies her Time powers.[12] Zelda considers this, holding a hand to her Secret Stone.[13] However, Mineru claims that Secret Stones do not grant mastery over powers, and since Zelda has not mastered her powers, she has no way to return home.[14]

Mineru reveals a forbidden ability of Secret Stones known as "draconification", which involves swallowing a Secret Stone to become an immortal Dragon.[15] Rauru notes that this would allow Zelda to return to the Era of the Wilds, although it would be slow.[16] Mineru acknowledges this, but she also claims that draconfication leads to individuals losing themselves and has been prohibited.[17] She apologizes to Zelda for being unable to help.[18]

Rauru is disappointed to be back where they started, but he assures Zelda that the answer may involve studying her Time power.[19] He believes that Sonia would be able to help her do so.[20] Zelda agrees,[21] at which point the Memory ends.
