"The Gerudo Assault" is a Memory in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Overview
"The Gerudo Assault" Memory can be obtained by finding the Dragon's Tear within the Geoglyph near Batrea Lake. In order to complete the Main Quest "The Dragon's Tears", Link must view this Memory.[2]
From Spectacle Rock, Ganondorf and his Gerudo army look toward the Great Plateau. He declares that Hyrule will bow before him,[3] and at his command, one of his soldiers plays the Gerudo Flute. This summons a swarm of Molduga from the Taobab Grassland and the Oseira Plains, which begin to move toward the Great Plateau.
On the Great Plateau, Hylian soldiers alert Rauru and Sonia of the impending danger.[4] Zelda is shocked by the number of Molduga.[5] Rauru prepares to use his Light power, and Sonia guides Zelda to help them with their Time powers. Zelda's power ends up resonating far more than Sonia's, and Rauru's attack is able to defeat all of the Molduga.
The Gerudo are shocked to see all of the Molduga have been killed.[6] Ganondorf realizes that they will not be able to defeat Hyrule with only brute force.[7] Despite his distance, he is able to see Rauru's Secret Stone, which catches his interest.[8] Following this, the Memory will end.
Trivia
- As Ganondorf overlooks the Great Plateau, two Shrines of Light can be seen in the same locations as the Keh Namut Shrine and the Owa Daim Shrine in Breath of the Wild. During the events of Tears of the Kingdom, the Great Plateau West Chasm and the Great Plateau South Chasm have opened in the same positions.
- Parts of "The Gerudo Assault" can be seen in the April 2023 trailer for Tears of the Kingdom.[9]
- Two green-skinned Gerudo women that resemble Kotake and Koume can be seen participating in Ganondorf's attack. Koume's name is written on one of their sashes with the version of Hylian from Ocarina of Time, where Kotake and Koume made their debut.

Inside the Forgotten Temple is a map of Hyrule and 11 murals related to the geoglyphs. It seems that these geoglyphs appeared in various places after the Upheaval when Princess Zelda went missing.
