"The Sages' Vow" is a Memory in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Overview
"The Sages' Vow" is one of several Memories that Link must view as part of "The Dragon's Tears" Main Quest.[2] It can be obtained by finding the Dragon's Tear within the Geoglyph on Talus Plateau.
In the Forgotten Temple, Rauru can be seen standing before the Six Sages. The Sage of Water steps forward and reveals that the last free village in the Gerudo Desert has fallen to Demon King Ganondorf, and she fears they will soon be overwhelmed.[3] Rauru is dismayed, and he declares that their last hope is for him to defeat the Demon King.[4] Mineru counters that Rauru will not be able to defeat him by himself, reminding him that he has herself, Zelda, and the leaders of the Gerudo, Gorons, Zora, and Rito to help him.[5]
After considering it for a moment, Rauru decides to show something to the Sages.[6] Using his Right Arm, he is able to open the door behind him, which reveals a room with four Secret Stones. The Sage of Fire recognizes them as such.[7] Rauru then asks the Sages to fight by his side.[8] The Sages all accept their Secret Stones, which embed themselves in different locations on their bodies. Together, the Six Sages vow to serve Rauru,[9] at which point the Memory ends.
