Pelison is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.[2][3]
Biography
Breath of the Wild
Pelison is a Goron child and the younger brother of Greyson.[1] He initially resides at the Southern Mine in Eldin Canyon, playing with Axyl during the day.[4] At night, he sits under the metal shack at the Mine, occasionally yawning.
When Link speaks to Pelison in the Southern Mine, he happily greets him.[5] If Link asks him what is going on, Pelison wonders why Greyson complains so much.[1] If Link reveals that he does not know, Pelison becomes frustrated, stating that adults should always tell the truth.[6] Should Link end their conversation, Pelison questions if he knows why adults are so secretive.[7]
After Link offers Greyson a job with Bolson Construction during the "From the Ground Up" Side Quest, he will take Pelison and depart for Tarrey Town.[8] Since both of their names end in "-son," a mandatory criteria of the Bolson Construction company's name policy,[9] Hudson accepts them as workers.[10] Upon his arrival in Tarrey Town, Pelison opens a Jewelry Shop called Ore and More, where he sells the Gems that his brother finds while removing the Town's boulders.[11]
When Link approaches Pelison at Ore and More, he recognizes him as Greyson's friend and asks what he needs.[12] Link can then choose to speak with Pelison.[13] If Link asks about Ore and More, Pelison explains that he decided to open the Jewelry Shop after finding all of the Gems in the boulders.[11][14] He is unsure why so many Gems can be found at Lake Akkala, but he speculates that it is due to their proximity to Death Mountain.[15] He then encourages Link to buy his wares.[16]
Next, Link can ask Pelison about Tarrey Town, which Pelison finds to be cold.[17] However, he believes he may think so because Goron City has so hot.[18]
Lastly, Link is able to question Pelison about Greyson's whereabouts, to which he claims he is somewhere nearby.[19][20] He notes that ever since they left the Southern Mine, Greyson has become much happier, which makes Pelison himself happy.[21][22]
At the end of "From the Ground Up", Pelison will be present at Hudson and Rhondson's wedding. He voices his support for the pair naming their children in accordance with Bolson Construction's guidelines.[23]
If Link purchases a Gem from Ore and More, Pelison may thank him for doing so.[24] Alternatively, he remarks that Greyson will have to dig up more Gems to replace them.[25] Link can also sell his own Items to Pelison.[26][27][28][29][30] After Pelison buys Link's Items, he expresses his gratitude and encourages Link to keep selling.[31][32][33][34]
