Biography

Breath of the Wild

Axyl is a Goron child who resides at the Southern Mine in the Eldin Canyon. While the adult Gorons work during the day, Axyl will roll around the Mine's Pickaxe statue, in which he is joined by Pelison before the latter leaves for Tarrey Town. At night, he mumbles in his sleep about his father, Dorill, and not being able to eat another bite.[4][5]

When Link first approaches Axyl, he will be scared to see a Hylian in the are.[6] Link then asks why, and Axyl explains that there are Magma Bombs falling further up the Mountain Road.[7] If Link informs Axyl of his plans to continue on to Goron City and up Death Mountain, Axyl tries to convince him not to, warning him of the intensity of the Scorching Climate there.[8] If Link acts ignorant to the danger, Axyl reminds him that they should listen to adults, since they know what is best.[9]

After Divine Beast Vah Rudania has been calmed, Axyl will ask Link if he has been to Goron City.[10] If Link confirms that he has, Axyl becomes dismissive and end their conversation.[11] However, if Link claims he has not been there, Axyl encourages him to dig up Gems on the far end of Death Mountain Summit, though he tells him to keep it a secret.[12]
