Cephla Lake is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Features and Overview
Breath of the Wild
Cephla Lake is a large body of water in the southeastern portion of Eldin Canyon, located along its border from Akkala. Cephla Lake sits at the bottom of a tall range of cliffs. Unlike many other bodies of water in Eldin, which are heated by the region's volcanic activity, Cephla Lake's water is kept at a cool temperature.
Cephla Lake is largely featureless, having no islands or any other distinguishing landmarks with the exception of a monster camp in the Lake's south. This camp is watched over by Lizalfos, both guarding an unprotected Treasure Chest housing a Drillshaft.

Other Appearances
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
At the start of the "Relentless as a Waterfall" Scenario, Mipha and Sidon come upon a fork in the road while piloting Divine Beast Vah Rudania to Akkala Citadel.[3] The eastern path takes them through Cephla Lake, which is a longer journey with the advantage of abundant Water.[4] Both pathways lead Vah Ruta to Akkala Citadel.
As part of the "Defending Cephla Lake" Challenge, Sidon notices a horde of Monsters while piloting Divine Beast Vah Ruta.[5] Fearing for the safety of Akkala Citadel, he takes it upon himself to fight off the Monsters using Vah Ruta.[5]
Nomenclature
Cephla Lake derives its name from cephalopod.
