Salt-Grilled Fish are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Salt-Grilled Fish can be made by Cooking any Fish together with Rock Salt in a Cooking Pot. The default version can only be made either by using Hyrule Basses or Sanke Carps, both of which offer no status effects, or by using two Fish with contradictory effects. Eating these fish will heal some of Link's Hearts to his Life Gauge. To make them, the whole fish must be rolled in Rock Salt before it's grilled.[1]
Based on both the type of Fish used and whether any additional ingredients are added, several different variations of Salt-Grilled Fish can be made:
- Hearty Salt-Grilled Fish:[3] Made by using Hearty Salmons, Hearty Bass, or other hearty ingredients. When eaten, all of Link's Hearts will be healed, and he will gain temporary Hearts.[3]
- Energizing Salt-Grilled Fish:[4] Made by using Staminoka Basses or other energizing ingredients. Consuming them will refill a portion of Link's Stamina Wheel.[4]
- Enduring Salt-Grilled Fish:[5] Made by using enduring ingredients. They can be eaten to completely replenish and overfill Link's Stamina Wheel.[5]
- Hasty Salt-Grilled Fish:[6] Made by using hasty ingredients. Link's movement speed will be increased by eating these meals.[6]
- Spicy Salt-Grilled Fish:[7] Made by using Sizzlefin Trouts or other spicy ingredients. One level of Heat Resistance will be granted to Link if he eats them.[7]
- Electro Salt-Grilled Fish:[8] Made by using Voltfin Trout or other electric ingredients. When eaten, Link will gain one level of Shock Resistance.[8]
- Mighty Salt-Grilled Fish:[9] Made by using Mighty Carps, Mighty Porgies, or other mighty ingredients. By eating this fish, Link will receive a boost to his attack power.[9]
- Tough Salt-Grilled Fish:[10] Made by using Armored Carps, Armored Porgies, or other tough ingredients. They will grant Link a boost to his defense if he eats them.[10]
- Sneaky Salt-Grilled Fish:[11] Made by using Stealthfin Trouts or other sneaky ingredients. If Link eats them, he will receive a boost to his Stealth abilities.[11]
- Chilly Salt-Grilled Fish:[12] Made by using Chillfin Trouts or other chilly ingredients. Link will gain one level of Heat Resistance if he eats these fish.[12]
