East Akkala Stable is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

East Akkala Stable is a Stable located on the North Akkala Foothill in Deep Akkala, It is managed by Rudi, and the Katosa Aug Shrine can be found across the road. Due to increased rumors of danger in the area, the Stable has hired Hoz as a guard.[4] The East Akkala Stable is also home to the area-exclusive Akkala Bun, which Link must consume immediately after purchasing one from Khini for 10 Rupees.[5] Inside East Akkala Stable is a poster on the wall, which details a Recipe for a Meat and Rice Bowl, as well as the Rumor Mill: Volume 4.

When staying at East Akkala Stable, Link can choose to rest in either a regular Bed for 20 Rupees or a soft Bed for 40 Rupees.[6] Rudi explains that the soft Bed leaves its users feeling more energized when they wake up.[7] If Link decides to stay at the Stable, Rudi offers to wake him up in the morning, at noon, or in the evening.[8] Once Link makes his choice, Rudi will send him off to sleep.[9][10] When Link wakes up, Rudi will greet him.[11][12][13] By sleeping in the soft Bed}, Link will receive a bonus Heart when he wakes up.

If Link has already completed the "Find the Fairy Fountain" Main Quest, Pikango can be found painting at East Akkala Stable. When spoken to, he is able to identify the location of ninth Picture in Link's Album, which is the Spring of Power.[14] A resident of the Stable, Nobo, also shares rumors about the Spring of Power with Link, which starts "The Spring of Power" Shrine Quest.[15]

When Link speaks to Hoz about the dangers of the area, Hoz shares that he has heard about a suspicious individual called Kilton, who runs a Shop called Fang and Bone and has been making people uncomfortable.[16] As part of the "A Shady Customer" Side Quest, Hoz asks Link to bring him a description of Kilton.[17] If Link returns to Hoz with a Picture of Kilton, he will be rewarded with a Silver Rupee.[18]

After completing the "Robbie's Research" Side Quest, Link will be able to partake in the Restoring the Blue Flame Mini-Game at East Akkala Stable. When Link offers to light the Stable's Blue Flame Pedestal for Aya, she challenges him to do so in under three minutes.[19] In order to participate, Link must pay a 20 Rupee Horse-handling fee.[20] If Link is able to complete this task, Aya rewards him with a Purple Rupee.[21][22] As Link continues to play the Mini-Game, Aya will challenge him to relight the Blue Flame Pedestal in under one minute with a reward of a Silver Rupee.[22][23] Her final challenge is to relight the Pedestal in under 20 seconds, and she gives him a Gold Rupee as a reward.[22][24]

If Link feeds East Akkala Stable's resident Hylian Retriever three times it will lead him to a metal Treasure Chest containing ten Shock Arrows, which can be found embedded in the ground behind the Stable.[25]
