Seafood Rice Balls
Seafood Rice Balls are recurring Meals in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Link can make Seafood Rice Balls by Cooking any Seafood together with Hylian Rice in a Cooking Pot. Their default can be made either by using Hyrule Basses or Sanke Carps, which provide no status effects, or by using two types of Seafood with contradicting effects. When eaten, they will restore some of Link's Hearts to his Life Gauge. Though the flavor varies based on ingredients, Seafood Rice Balls are known to never disappoint.[1]
By using certain types of Seafood or adding extra ingredients, the following variations of Seafood Rice Balls can be made:
- Hearty Seafood Rice Balls:[4] Made by using Hearty Bass, Hearty Salmons, Hearty Blueshell Snails, or other hearty ingredients. By eating them, all of Link's Hearts will be healed, and he will gain temporary Hearts.[4]
- Energizing Seafood Rice Balls:[5] Made by using Staminoka Basses, Bright-Eyed Crabs, or other energizing ingredients. They can be eaten to restore a part of Link's Stamina Wheel.[5]
- Enduring Seafood Rice Balls:[6] Made by using enduring ingredients. Link's Stamina Wheel will be completely replenished and overfilled when he eats these.[6]
- Hasty Seafood Rice Balls:[7] Made by using hasty ingredients. If consumed, Link will receive a boost to his movement speed.[7]
- Spicy Seafood Rice Balls:[8] Made by using Sizzlefin Trouts or other spicy ingredients. Eating them will grant Link one level of Cold Resistance.[8]
- Electro Seafood Rice Balls:[9] Made by using Voltfin Trout or other electric ingredients. When eaten, Link will gain one level of Shock Resistance.[9]
- Mighty Seafood Rice Balls:[10] Made by using Mighty Carps, Mighty Porgies, Razorclaw Crabs, or other mighty ingredients. They can be eaten to grant Link a boost to his attack power.[10]
- Tough Seafood Rice Balls:[11] Made by using Armored Carps, Armored Porgies, Ironshell Crabs, or other tough ingredients. By eating them, Link's defensive abilities will be increased.[11]
- Sneaky Seafood Rice Balls:[12] Made by using Stealthfin Trouts, Sneaky River Snails, or other sneaky ingredients. Link can eat them to receive a boost to his Stealth.[12]
- Chilly Seafood Rice Balls:[13] Made by using Chillfin Trouts or other chilly ingredients. They can be consumed to offer Link one level of Heat Resistance.[13]
Tears of the Kingdom
Like in Breath of the Wild, Seafood Rice Balls can be made by Cooking a bundle of Hylian Rice with any type of Seafood.
Other Appearances
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
The Recipe for Seafood Rice Balls is earned by completing the Quest "Fine Bites from Lurelin Village". It is made using four Stealthfin Trouts and four bundles of Tabantha Wheat. However, it can be lowered to three of each ingredient through the completion of "Hungry Hunches". When prepared before a Challenge or Scenario, the Warriors' Sheikah Rune damage will increase by 35%.
