Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

West Vatorsa Snowfield is a flat field of Snow in the Gerudo Highlands. It is located directly west of the Vatorsa Snowfield, and the two locations are separated by a natural stone archway. The Snowfield is bordered by Gerudo Summit to the north and Meadela's Mantle to the south. A campsite with a Cooking Pot can be found in a cave on the eastern end of the Snowfield. Link requires at least two levels of Cold Resistance to traverse the West Vatorsa Snowfield without taking damage, since it is part of a Freezing Climate.

After flying through Vatorsa Snowfield, Farosh will fly over West Vatorsa Snowfield as well. When this happens, strong Winds will pass through the Snowfield. A Stone Talus (Rare) is found on the Snowfield's eastern side.[1] Several Enemies frozen in chunks of Ice can be found embedded in the ground on the western end of Snowfield, as well. It will initially be dormant, but if Link approaches it, it will rise up and begin to attack him.

Many Treasure Chests are located on the West Vatorsa Snowfield. In total, they contain five Ice Arrows, five Bomb Arrows, one Topaz, one Ruby, and two Sapphire.

There is one Korok Seed Puzzle on the West Vatorsa Snowfield. It is a Race that starts on Rutimala Hill nearby, ending on the western end of the Snowfield. If Link reaches the end of the Race before time runs out, a Korok will appear and give him a Korok Seed.[2]
