Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Statue of the Eighth Heroine is a Gerudo Ruin located on the northwestern end of the Gerudo Highlands. Several Updrafts and a pair of Ore Deposits can be found at its feet. It is of the same design as the statues of the Seven Heroines at the East Gerudo Ruins. The Statue is a monument to the Eighth Heroine, a protector of the Gerudo who is rumored to have existed, but she was removed from official Gerudo legends for unknown reasons.[5] Myths about the Eighth Heroine and her Statue are considered to be folklore inspired by the Seven Heroines.[6] According to Patricia, the Risoka Snowfield rests on the Statue's shoulders.[7] Since the Statue of the Eighth Heroine exists in a Freezing Climate, Link requires at leas two levels of Cold Resistance in order to visit it without taking damage.

As part of "The Eighth Heroine" Side Quest, Bozai tells Link to bring him a Picture of the Statue of the Eighth Heroine in return for his Sand Boots.[8] To aid Link in his journey, Bozai gives him the Snow Boots.[9] When Link brings back a Picture, Bozai will be shocked that the Statue actually exists.[10] He states that he will not tell anyone else the location of the Statue.[11] As he promised, Bozai then gives Link his Sand Boots.[12]
