Daval Peak
Daval Peak is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Features and Overview
Breath of the Wild
Daval Peak is located on top of Mount Granajh in the Gerudo Highlands. It is the smaller of two peaks located on the mountain, and it can be found at its southern end. A Pedestal is affixed to the Peak's northern side. Due to Daval Peak being part of a Freezing Climate, Link will require at least two levels of Cold Resistance in order to traverse it without taking damage.
According to the Mountain Peak Log, an unnamed individual attempted to use the Pedestal on Daval Peak to reveal an Ancient Shrine in the past.[3] However, they were unable to achieve their goal, and they were forced to leave Mount Granajh after running out of rations.[4]
During the "Secret of the Snowy Peaks" Shrine Quest, Link must cast the shadow from either a Cryonis block or a Snowball onto Daval Peak's Pedestal. Doing this will cause Suma Sahma Shrine to rise from the ground on Mount Granajh.[5]
A Treasure Chest can be found on the southern end of Daval Peak. When Link opens the Chest, he will receive a Purple Rupee.

I come to this snowy mountain intending to find the ancient shrine that was written about in an old text. "The shrine slumbers near the pedestal on a snowy Gerudo peak." I believe I've arrived at the pedestal mentioned in the text. - ↑

I can feel that I'm a hair's breadth away from unlocking the secrets hidden within the pedestal. I'm certain that "casting" and "cold" refer to using a specific type of shadow. But I've run out of food entirely, and I doubt now that I ever had the tools to do the job...whatever they might be. - ↑
