Molduga
Template:Boss Molduga is an Overworld Boss in Breath of the Wild.
Characteristics
Molduga is a giant sand monster that can be found in several locations in Gerudo Desert. It resembles a fish and lurks below the sand, patrolling its territory in search of prey. Once it becomes aware of Link's presence, it will barrel towards Link and attempt to ram into him. When defeated, it drops one or two Treasure Chests containing various weapons, Molduga Fins and Molduga Guts. Link must collect Molduga Guts order to complete the "Medicinal Molduga" Side Quest.
Strategy
Molduga can be fought while Shield Surfing with the help of a Sand Seal. It can also be fought by detonating Bombs or shooting Bomb Arrows near it. This will cause Molduga to fly out of the sand, stunned and vulnerable to Link's attacks. Caution should be taken when fighting Molduga as Link can be easily killed if not properly prepared. If Link is especially quick, he can stun Molduga as soon as the monster recovers and easily keep the beast under his control.
