The colored light bulbs at its sides are its weak points during this stage, and can only be damaged by the Link whose tunic corresponds with the bulb's color. Template:Boss Prismantus is the boss of the Grim Temple in Tri Force Heroes. It is similar to the boss Margoma, but has three, colored light bulbs at its sides.

Characteristics

Prismantus will spin wildly after the Links. It will periodically stop to seek its next target while spinning in place. The colored light bulbs at its sides are its weak points during this stage, and can only be damaged by the Link whose tunic corresponds with the bulb's color. As its body is constantly spinning, the Links must carefully time their attacks to strike the right bulb. After a bulb takes enough damage, it will shut off. After all of its bulbs are shut off, Prismantus will be stunned and its spinning halts. The Links can then form a Totem to throw one Link up to its eye and strike it. It is also possible to hit its eye by standing close to it with two Links stacked on top of each other. Its colored lights will eventually come back on.

In the second phase, Prismantus turns to its side and starts rolling around the room. It will eventually stop momentarily, allowing the Links to easily strike its light bulbs. Shutting them all off stuns Prismantus again. In the third phase, Prismantus stands up and charges a powerful beam. It will fire this beam around the room, before continuing to roll again and stopping only to fire another beam. The Links must again strike its light bulbs to stun it, although this time the Links must form a Totem of three to strike its upper bulbs while it fires a beam. It will be defeated after several more hits.

Nomenclature

Prismantus's Japanese name is onomatopoeia of the booming noise it makes when it moves.[1] This was the original Japanese name of Gigaleon, but was changed as it fitted Prismantus better.[2]

Prismantus also had several Japanese names during developement, including Yの字君 (Y Guy) and Cyclops.[3]
