Giant Ghini are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1] They are a larger variant of Ghini. A version of a Giant Ghini appears as the Sub-Boss of Spirit's Grave in Oracle of Ages.[2]
Characteristics
Link's Awakening
The Giant Ghini is a rare creature in Link's Awakening, appearing only in the Graveyard of Koholint Island. Its size allows it to harm Link easily, but it can be defeated in the same manner as the rest of its family.
Oracle of Ages
In Oracle of Ages, the Giant Ghini possesses two eyes and is accompanied by three Mini-Ghinis who act like Gels, attaching themselves to Link to hinder his movement speed.[3] When this happens, the Giant Ghini will charge at Link to harm him. The Giant Ghini must be attacked with the Sword, which is easier done after the three smaller Ghini have been dispatched. However, the Giant Ghini may still charge at Link if he gets too close, and the smaller Ghini will respawn after a short time.
Four Swords Adventures
Giant Ghini appear in The Swamp in Four Swords Adventures. A dozen Giant Ghini swarm around Dampé's house and can only be defeated by lighting the four Torches around the house.
