Kanalet Castle: Difference between revisions

Template:Dungeons Kanalet Castle is a mini-dungeon in Link's Awakening, located near the center of Koholint Island.
Features and Overview
Kanalet Castle was once Richard's castle, but rebellious servants kicked him out; now Richard is only interested in retrieving the Golden Leaves he left behind in the castle.[1] Richard gets Link to acquire these leaves by defeating monsters and solving puzzles. However, the front gate of the castle is up and thus impassable. Link therefore must make a deal with a Monkey called Kiki to make a bridge across the moat. He can then enter via an underground passage under the castle walls. Once within the castle, Link can press a button to open the gate, allowing an easy escape and access if he wishes to return.[2] The boss of this mini-dungeon is a Ball and Chain Soldier, who battles with Link for the final Golden Leaf. Once all the leaves are recovered, Link earns the Slime Key from Richard, which can be used to open the third dungeon, Key Cavern.
