- Not to be confused with the Eastern Palace from A Link to the Past and the Eastern Palace from A Link Between Worlds.
Template:Dungeon Eastern Temple is the third stage in Eastern Hyrule in Four Swords Adventures, attempted after dealing with the issues that had befallen the neighboring town, the Village of the Blue Maiden, and the far sea at The Coast.
This temple is a sinister shrine filled with clever traps, feisty enemies, and a gigantic boss, the Stone Arrghus, fought and defeated at the temple's end in order to gain access to the room holding the Yellow Shrine Maiden. The temple incorporates trickery, as several chests hold Big Bombs instead of treasure, careful footwork, used to great effect in the long hallways littered with small, moving iron balls, and mastery of the Moon Pearl, as the Dark World is accessed few times to progress. Enemies such as the Wizzrobe are common to this realm, often popping up in an otherwise vacant rooms without notice, as do the Rats and Keese familiar to all shadowy, dank regions.
One of the more unique aspects of this temple is the vine-laden labyrinth the Links encounter at the temple's halfway point. Thick ivy covers Bomb-able walls, which must be removed to progress, however, with the many distractions, enemies, and diversions built into the labyrinth, it is quite easy to lose one's path during navigation.
