When Link pulls the Master Sword from the Pedastal of Time, he unkowingly allows [[Ganondorf]] to enter the Sacred Realm and steal the Triforce from the Temple of Light. Because Link is too young to wield the Master Sword, he is sealed within the Temple for seven years, and awakens in the Chamber of Sages to meet [[Rauru]], the [[Sage of Light]]. After giving Link the [[Light Medallion]], Rauru tasks Link with awakening the other Sages, who eventually join Rauru within the Chamber of Sages. They eventually draw Ganondorf into the Sacred Realm from the Chamber and seal him within after he is defeated by Link.

The Temple of Light became the resting place of the Triforce during the Era of Chaos.[1][2] It is the only known elemental temple that is not located directly within Hyrule. Instead, it lies in the center of the Sacred Realm.[3] It can be accessed only through the chamber of the Master Sword inside the Temple of Time.
