The Kema Zoos Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name A Delayed Puzzle,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Kema Zoos Shrine is found by completing "The Silent Swordswomen" Shrine Quest. Link can receive the Quest by talking to the Gerudo soldier Laine, who will tell him about the Swordswomen Statues.[2] She will also share a superstition that the statues point to the location of a hidden treasure.[3]

Link must follow the Statues through the Sandstorm in the West Barrens, eventually finding Kema Zoos Shrine and completing the Shrine Quest.[4] Upon entering, the Monk Kema Zoos can be heard offering the trial.[5]

Themes and Navigation

Kema Zoos Shrine consists of one big room with an electrically charged metal sphere slowly bouncing back and forth between two Tilted Platforms. To get the sphere to stop, Link must use the Stasis Rune on it while it is flying through the air, at which point he must shoot it with an Arrow to throw off its trajectory. It will then drop to the floor below, where Link can move it with the Magnesis Rune.

Link can place the sphere near a hidden switch on the left side of the room to open a portcullis, revealing a Treasure Chest holding a Moonlight Scimitar. To complete the Trial, Link must place the sphere next to the switch directly to the right of portcullis containing the Monk's Pedestal. This will open the door to this room, where the Monk Kema Zoos waits for Link.

Kema Zoos commends Link for his resourcefulness and gives him a Spirit Orb as a reward.[6] The Monk then wishes Link well before fading away.[7]
