The Sho Dantu Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Two Bombs,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

Sho Dantu Shrine is located in the Gerudo Highlands, along the path of Karusa Valley, though it is initially buried beneath the ground. Nearby is a pedestal with a Stone Tablet in front of it, which instructs Link to offer a shining blue stone.[2] The pedestal is surrounded by Luminous Stone Deposits, which can be broken for a Luminous Stone to place on top of it.

Once this has been done, Sho Dantu Shrine will rise from the ground. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he's greeted by its Monk, Sho Dantu.[3]

Themes and Navigation

Sho Dantu Shrine features three primary chambers, two of which contain pillars with Crystals at the top. Thought Link can ride the nearby Tilted Platforms to reach them, they are surrounded by a cage, making them inaccessible. In order to complete the Trial, Link must place a Remote Bomb on top of the Tilted Platforms and blow them up once they reach their apex. This will activate the Crystals.

Once the two Crystals are active, a door will open, leading to a third chamber. This chamber features another Crystal in a cage, this time with two slanted Tilted Platforms pointed towards it. Over the entrance to this room is the a doorway leading to the Monk's Pedestal, and two inactive Tilted Platforms are embedded in the ground on either side.

When placed on a slanted Tilted Platform, the square Remote Bomb will land in the cage, but the spherical Remote Bomb will constantly move back and forth between the Tilted Platforms. By placing a Remote Bomb on top of a Tilted Platforms, Link will be able to explode it once it approaches the Crystal, activating it. This will raise the Tilted Platforms embedded in the ground, but it will also close the portcullis leading to the Monk's Pedestal. The square Remote Bomb must be left in the cage, while the spherical one must be moving back and forth. One Bomb can be detonated while Link is standing on a Tilted Platform, bringing him up to the same level as the Monk's Pedestal. Then the second Bomb can be detonated, reopening the portcullis.

When Link does this, he will be able to access Sho Dantu. Sho Dantu will commend Link for completing the Trial, and they give him a Spirit Orb as a reward.[4] The Monk will then wish Link well before fading away.[5]

A Treasure Chest behind the pillar in the left chamber contains a Silver Rupee.
